Welcome to Malibu!

Inspite of its fame and well-known to be the coastal haunt of Los Angeles' rich and famous, Malibu is in fact quite unprepossessing. There are no luxury hotels, no fancy restaurants, no private beaches except those which are open to the public, if you are willing to pay £18 to park there! It is the kingdom of the surfers and fishermen. It may not be quite as beautiful as the French Riviera to which it is compared, but it has managed to preserve its natural beauty and wildlife, which is amazing considering that it is only a few minutes outside central Los Angeles.
