Out and about in LA

Los Angeles is vast - 470 square miles according to the guide book. But it is possible to get views of the vastness from certain vantage points, both manmade and geographical.

This is the corner of a mock tudor mansion - Greystone - above Beverley Hills with fantastic views of Downtown. This place was built by an oil mogul and was the location of such films as Spiderman, There Will be Blood, XMen...in fact the list is endless because they don't have that many tudor mansions to choose from in LA. I might add that everywhere in Los Angeles has been the location of one film or another.

And a few views from the Getty Museum, which, in spite of the fact that it looks like a hospital, is spectacular both inside and out...and they have Van Gogh's irises!

Getty's got it!
