How clever of the Americans to preserve the Queen Mary liner in the harbour of Long Beach. It is absolutely beautiful and an amazing step back into history. Nothing has been changed or modernised and you can just wander around as if you were a passenger on board fifty or more years ago. They do a very amusing ghost tour which takes you down into the boiler rooms in the dark. They blast you with fake steam then pretend that the hull has sprung a leak as water starts gushing into the very rusty hold. Very enjoyable!
