Observing bikers and surfers at Huntington Beach

Waiting for the "big one"...
Blond Californian biker

Middle aged bikers - there seem to be a lot of them!

Huntington Beach - known as Surf City.

When I first got there I didn't like the look of it at all. It seemed quite industrial with huge cement works and other non-identified plants. The town was like a Californian version of Brighton, although admittedly with sun and sand and a warm ocean (all of which are notably lacking in Brighton). But it turned out to be fun after all to observe the bikers and surfers...I also saw: joggers, cyclists, inline skaters, dog-walkers, skate-boarders, body boarders, kite-fliers, swimmers, paddlers, wave-jumpers, drummers, frisbee-throwers, beach volley players, big fat metal detector lady, barbecuers, ballet dancer, clam fishers, lifesavers, sand castle builders, totally tatooed men (fat and elderly) and a lot of people just sitting on the beach and eating gigantic bags of crisps (chips to me).
