Today I found the shopping mall - see the night time photo below. This is my day time version of the same fountain. Americans are so extravagant! Everything is so "Disney". And so beautifully clean, it makes me feel embarassed about how shoddy and grubby our shopping centres are in comparison.
For the moment I am still getting my bearings - and trying to get over jet lag! Driving is so different here too: overtaking on the inside seems to be fine, turning right on a red light seems obligatory and I'm just starting to get the hang of U-turns (of which I make many). The four stop crossroads are tricky: everyone stops and then your guess is as good as mine as to who can go first...
