The first thing we did in California yesterday was to have one of those big American breakfasts, with pancakes and maple syrup and sausage, bacon and eggs, all on the same plate...But it was an exception and I won't do it again!
There's something quite nice about going to the supermarket with palm trees in the carpark...However, this supermarket turned out to be a Chinese supermarket and not quite "English" enough for this student's tastes.
